Airborne Testing of active Trailing Edge Flaps in Donauwörth

This technology demonstrator was used in cooperation with Airbus Helicopters for research in the field of active rotors. Active trailing edge flaps (TEFs) were used to alter flapping and lead-lag motions in order to improve tracking and mitigate vibrations.
The helicopter is now on display on the campus Vaihingen, next to PWR 27.
